EARTHBOUND.

I thought falling would be the end.
But the ground did not kill me.
It held me.
And for the first time…
I had to learn how to walk.

No wings upon my shoulders
No light above my head
Just mud beneath my footsteps
And the memory of what fled

I came down through the silence
I woke up in the rain
With the taste of dust inside me
And the weight of human pain

Now every breath is heavier
Now every road is real
The sky can keep its distance
I am learning how to feel

I am earthbound now
No wings above my name

Through hunger, blood and rain

Before the world had teeth
